New Zealand competition regulator The Commerce Commission has received an application from telecommunications company One New Zealand Group seeking clearance to acquire 100% of the shares in Dense Air New Zealand from Dense Air Limited and SoftBank Corp.

TPG Telecom says the acquisition of additional 5G spectrum holdings will boost 5G experience for customers in Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne.

Telstra has picked up the largest number of lots in the 5G spectrum auction organised by the Australian Communication and Media Authority in the 3.6 GHz band.
